I am only asking for continued prayers for my brother and not to solicit funds from anyone at church, but I put together some pictures and a story about what he's going through if anyone wants to know. If anyone feels compelled to give, that would be great and we could really use it, But the prayers are the most important medicine we can give right now.  As of now, Danny still has not regained consciousness from the surgery last week. He is showing signs of improvement incrementally every day, but there seem to be set-backs every day too. His wife is doing all she can to continue being by his side along with raising the boys and all the other daily routines that cannot be set aside. My heart goes out to her!  Know that God is good ALL OF THE TIME!  Thank you for your prayers and thank you Jesus for living through us!  Brother John Pfeiffer

The LCMS is helping with disaster relief for hurricanes Florence and Michael.  There are a couple of ways to help.  This is from the LCMS.org website:
Thrivent Financial has offered to match up to $1 million in donations made to hurricane relief at thrivent.com through year’s end.  Donations qualifying for matching funds can be directed to LCMS Disaster Response by selecting “LCMS Disaster Response” on the “Hurricanes Florence and Michael” page. Learn more by visiting thrivent.com/disasterresponse.  Contributions for LCMS World Relief and Human Care disaster response efforts can be made online at lcms.org/givenow/disaster, or by sending the text message LCMSHURRICANES to the number 41444. Donate over the telephone by calling 888-930-4438.

2018 Pledge cards for the annual Stewardship Drive will now be available on the table in the narthex, on some of the tables in the fellowship hall, or in the church office.  If you would like your pledge card mailed to you, please let a member of the Bd of Stewardship or the church office know.  Thank you - Karen Wagner and Grant Hovland

November 4th is All Saints’ Sunday, when we give thanks to God for all those who have died confessing Jesus as their Savior.  As part of the service, we will read the names of those members of Trinity who fell asleep in Jesus since the last All Saints’ Sunday.  If you would like the name of a friend or loved one who died in the Christian faith also included in this remembrance, please contact the church office.

We would like to have all veterans, past and present, to be in attendance at the worship service on November 11, Veteran’s Day, to be recognized for your service for our country.  Thank You, Ray Ozmun

After church on Sunday, November 4, the LWML will have a bake sale.  Last year, because of your generosity, we sent $200.00 to Trinity First School, in Minneapolis, and $100.00 to the Lutheran Hour.  Donations of baked goods, candies, etc. are also appreciated.  Thank you!

On Sunday, October 28th at 4:30pm, the Board of Stewardship is hosting its annual budget review meeting.  The congregation will be able to ask questions and have input in the proposed 2019 Church budget.  A soup supper will be provided.  Come out and learn about the budget here at Trinity!

Most of the stained glass windows in the sanctuary, including the large triangle window above the altar, are in need of age-related repairs, costing a total of $13,576.  The voters approved spending $5,000 of scrip funds for the project, and using capital funds for the balance not covered by donations.  Trinity members can contribute to the stained glass window repair fund, and any funds designated as such will reduce the amount of capital funds needed to complete the project.  Through October 15th, Trinity members donated $3,415.  For more information, see the repair estimate posted on the hallway bulletin board and talk to Todd Criswell.

The Board of Education would like to invite everyone to our Fall Harvest Party.  It will held October 28 from 3-4:30.  Wear a costume if you want and come join us for lots of fun activities associated with Fall and the Harvest. Hope to see you there.
